Day 1 : Arrival in Bordeaux
Our trip manager will meet you at the train station or the airport and transfer you to St Emilion. You'll have time to go over your trip package and notes. Depending on your arrival time, you have a visit of the underground monuments of St. Emilion either today or tomorrow. You will love your B&B, which is an old converted mill located in the heart of the vineyards. Dinner in Saint Emilion.

Day 2 : Discovering Saint Emilion 8 km
Some of the world's most renowned wines are made in the region surrounding you when you awaken this morning. You have a beautiful walk amongst some of the prestigious chateaux. There is a stop for a visit and tasting at the château Clos de la Madeleine, a small domain on the hillside above St. Emilion, before continuing on. The vineyards are beautiful - the first non-architectural spot to be classified as a Heritage site by UNESCO! Transfer at the end of the walk to St. Martin de Lerme for a night in a converted 17th century building.

Day 3 : "The Entre-Deux-Mers Vineyards"  15 Km
Between the Dordogne and Garonne rivers, between stones and water, you will walk through the oldest vineyards of the area! This region, one of the largest wine producing regions of Bordeaux, makes an excellent, dry white wine. Visit and tasting at the Domaine de Bouillerot (wine grower since 1874). Night and dinner in Caudrot, a small village that dates back to the Gauls, and still houses a church of over 1000 years with beautiful trompe l'oeil paintings.

Day 4 : The Coteaux et Garonne River approx 10 Km
You have a beautiful and easygoing day of vineyard walking, via chateaux and picturesque villages. You finish in the old merchant town of Saint-Macaire. A beautiful collection of both medieval and Renaissance vestiges, be sure to see the 14th century painted murals in the St. Sauveur church, and to meander through the arcaded main square before your dinner.

Day 5 : St-Macaire to Ste Croix du Mont 8 or 16 km
Walking up to the slopes around Saint Marcaire, you will have amazing views of the valley. Your itinerary will take you to the Domaine de Malagar, where you’ll be able to see the tomb of french illustrator Toulouse Lautrec. Before getting back to your hotel in Saint Marcaire, you can visit the Château Laurette, and the Château Loubens. Late afternoon transfer to your Château-hotel in Sauternes. When you arrive, you will have a visit and tasting, before dinner.

Day 6 : The prestigious Sauterne Vineyards 15 Kms
Located on the left side of the Garonne River, the Sauterne area produces the most renowned sweet wines, such as the world-famous Château Yquem! Today's walk is quiet and relaxing from mills to streams through the Bordelais countryside. Late afternoon, you have a rendez vous for your last tasting at the Chateau Gravas (Richard III's favourite wine). You will have the time to relax and enjoy your chateau’s jacuzzi before your final dinner at the Chateau de Campreros.

Day 7 : Departure - Bon Voyage!
Transfer after breakfast to Barsac or Langon train station
